Somatic Sexology is quite simply hands on, client lead, sex education, intended for the benefit of your pleasure and learning.

But is is more than sex eduction. It is ultimately celebration of the body & about connection. Connecting with ourselves, with others & with life itself. To feel wholeness you need to have a connection to yourself first & foremost. This is the work.

I teach & guide my clients on how to seek pleasure & connection to your intimate self. By learning to apply mindful practices & by exploring with an open mind & curiosity. We will explore together using the following 5 principals:

Awareness of body
Breath
Touch
Movement
Sound
What is Somatic Sexology?

The two main reasons someone would seek is somatic sexologist are:
1) - Feeling disconnected to your body - maybe due to some trauma you have experienced in your life & you need a safe space to help reconnect back to your body. (Note - I am not trauma trained yet & I would need to refer you on to another practitioner if you need trauma help)

2) - Seeking more pleasure & intimacy from your body. You are in a routine, maybe porn & stuck in a habitual process which has become dull & you know there must be more. Maybe a non ejaculatory full body orgasm would be something you would like to try.
…it is freeing yourself from your mind & connecting you to your body…
Many of us have formed unsatisfactory sexual habits over our life time that need to be reworked & practiced. This is a practice…a hands on practice, where we bring our minds & hearts together to explore & experiment with our bodies. When we consciously repeat an exercise, it starts to become a skill. It is through this mindful practice that learning happens. This mindful practice starts to form new neurological pathways in our brains which then start to become habits. With practice we start to form new & better & more fulfilling sexual habits. With practice…mind-blowing habits!!!

…and learning to celebrate it & enjoy its aliveness…
It is also about touch…& learning about the numerous pleasure centres that are found around the whole body. For a lot of men, sex is focussed on the genitals but pleasure can be found around the whole body. When you become connected to you body you will start to discover areas that you never realised were sensitive. And did you know that an orgasm & ejaculation do not go hand in hand. You can have an orgasm without ejaculation. In fact you can have multiple that can go on for as long as you like!

…& to help to achieve higher states of erotic pleasure…
This very important work is focussed on helping us to get out of our heads & to reconnect to our bodies. In this new world of technology, we are now a society with information available instantly at our finger tips & a lot of us are possibly living inside our minds. And I would say for a lot of men, the access of online porn is ruining their sex lives & sometimes lives. We need to come back to our bodies for more fulfilling pleasure.

…empowering the sexual being that you are.
This work was created by DR Joseph Kramer in the 80’s in response to the AIDS pandemic as a way for gay men to have safe & fulfilling sex. It is now used by both men & women around the world to help achieve higher states of erotic pleasure. Dr Kramer has created a school called the Body Electric where he continues to teach this modality today as well as through the Institute of Somatic Sexology where I have studied.
What is Somatic Sexology & Touch Therapy?

The Practice
-
I provide you with a safe space for you to feel & explore your body without judgement, shame or guilt. This work is self directed & there is no wrong or right way & I am there to guide you.
-
This is consent based work & it needs to be a heartfelt YES where the head, heart & gut are all aligned before any touch begins. You are the one who is in charge & you lead the session.
-
This work is one way touch only & is for your eduction & pleasure.
-
This work is not outcome focussed. Mindfully enjoy the ebbs & flows of pleasure. This is not about the destination but rather feeling into what is happening for you.
-
We start the session by setting an intention for the practice & then we practice & do the work. We then take time to integrate the session into our bodies & then we reflect on the learnings.

FAQS
REVIEWS
It was the best and most intimate full body massage I have ever had. Alex was very attentive to tight and sore areas that needed extra pressure. I was able to be completely in the moment which took away any of life’s stresses and distractions. It also helped that the rain sound was so soothing. I will be back

Easy to book, had an appointment with Alex, helped me with my issue really efficiently. Really felt like he understood my problem straight away and then spent the rest of the session trying to help me out.

Thank you to Alex for the massage and stretch today. A weight I forget that I carry is gone. While I'm sure I talked too much, thanks Alex for putting up with me — and for those unexpected chuckles. I'm still grinning. :)
